Rigid plastic U channel, also known as PVC U channel or U section edge trim, sold in 1 metre lengths in white or black. It slides over the raw edge of a board, panel or sheet to cap it, protect it and give a clean, professional finish.

Made in the UK from rigid PVC, this plastic channel trim is suitable for both interior and exterior use. It covers uneven, rough or unsightly edges and helps prevent chipping, damage and splintering.

Choosing the right size

There are 29 sizes to choose from. Every size is listed as internal width × internal height × wall thickness, in millimetres, and each variant image shows the exact dimensions.

Internal width should match the thickness of the material you are edging. A 12mm U channel fits a 12mm board.
Internal height is how far the channel wraps over each face. A deeper channel grips more firmly and hides more of the edge.
Wall thickness is 1.5mm on most sizes, with heavier walls of up to 3mm on a few.

For a tight friction fit with no glue, choose a width that matches your material exactly. If the material is rough-sawn or may swell slightly, such as budget MDF, go 1mm wider and fix with a thin bead of adhesive inside the channel.
